  • BOILERMAKER

    Role Description


    This is a full-time workshop-based role with occasional on-site work for a Boilermaker situated in Winnellie, NT. 


    The Boilermaker will be responsible for welding, metal fabrication, able to understand technical drawings, and utilizing tools such as Oxy-acetylene, plasma, drilling and punching machines. The Boilermaker will also be able to operate various equipment including TIG, Mig and Stick welding and other related tasks as required.  Confident with the use of a forklift.


    Duties include General fabrication, light to medium with occasional heavy fabrication or repairs. Hydraulic cylinder and rod manufacturing. Earthmoving / Farming equipment repairs. Industrial workshop equipment repairs and fabrication. Small off the street jobs. Occasional ​aluminum and stainless steel fabrication and repairs.


     


    Qualifications


    Welding, TIG Welding, Oxy-acetylene skills

    Metal Fabrication and Blueprint Reading skills.

    Ability to work with minimal supervision.

    Excellent attention to detail skills

    Previous Boilermaker experience is preferred.

    A relevant trade certificate or qualification is desirable.

    Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.

    Must have a Drivers License

     


    Candidates with experience in the industrial and commercial industry will be highly regarded.


     


    Required immediate start


    Rate $40-$45 based on skill level 


    General hours - 7am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday

  • MACHINIST

    Role Description


    This is a full-time role as a Machinist with Prestons NT Pty Ltd, located in Winnellie, NT. As a valued team member, you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision metal parts, instruments, and tools. You will be expected to work on-site and complete assignments within set deadlines.


     


    Qualifications


    Experience as a machinist or similar role

    Proficiency with machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders

    Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and programming languages such as G-code

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

    Experience with manual machining and CNC is a plus

    Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols related to machining

    Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and meet project deadlines

    High school diploma or equivalent is required; certification in machine tool technology or related field is a plus
